Is the second time that happens.
Yesterday I saved the file and reopen, everything was ok.
Today I tryed to open de file to work and apears a small message saying:
Fireworks 8 "Could not open the file. Not enough memory"... this is the second
time that occures... I was wondering that might the file is corrupt but I can
open with photoshop, of course without layers... I've using fireworks since the
version 4, and now this version 8 causes this error bug or what ever... the
file is in 72dpi, I'm using windows xp pro with 513 mb in ram. What the h... is
going on?

It's possible that the image is too large. Fireworks cannot open a
document larger than 6000 pixels along either dimension.

We've slipped into the Twilight Zone? :-) Do you know if the font limit
is still 600?

Oh no. I didn't realize there was a font limit. :(

mmm... no more than 10,000???
Thats imposible...
I've using many times with images with 770x500 px resolution.
An image with this dimentions has 385,000 pixels...!
The file that can't open has 770x1200 px resolution... at 72 dpi...
Can Adobe (Macromedia) gives an anwer to this?..

Thank you

The limit is not 10000 pixels total, jut 10000 pixels *wide*.

and in DW8 it turns out that Linda was right... it's now 6,000 px in
either direction. I know it was 10,000 in dwmx2004.

How do people work on posters if the limit is 10,000 in either direction?

That seems ridiculous.

We use an application that is intended for print graphics - Photoshop,
Illustrator, Freehand, even CorelDraw.

For web work we use Fireworks.

You would work on a poster in a print graphics app.

FW isn't a print application.

Not at all. People who work on posters would use a suitable application
like Illustrator, FreeHand or InDesign, not a *Web graphics* application
like Fireworks. Fireworks was not designed for print work.
